Now that you know more about Me, including my sins, struggles, storms and insecurities. I want to clearly explain to you the Good News that has transformed my life. I might not know you, your story, your experiences, your pain, or your struggles, but I truly believe that God wants to love you the same way he loves me. So, after 24 years of life, sermons, devotions, podcasts, books, audiobooks, apologetics dialogue, attending Poets in Autumn, and my affiliation with The Happy Givers ministry…. I have come to a deeper, clearer understanding of The Gospel.
Below, I will share a condensed version of how I now understand & communicate the transformative truth of the Gospel, including its amazingly undeserved grace, and it’s unbelievable love. The Gospel
...according to Monique Danae
(based on scripture)
1) YOU = Created by God in His Image
No matter what you may have been told, there is absolutely no mistake or coincidence that you are here on earth. God is intentional. He created time, he created earth, he created the creatures that roam the earth…then he created Mankind IN HIS IMAGE. This includes YOU! Before you were placed in your mother’s womb, He knew you. He already had a plan for your life. As he was “knitting” you together in the womb, he was filling you with the hopes, dreams, gifts & talents that you would need in this life. Your life has purpose; when you begin to walk in alignment with that, it will bring you fulfillment and it will bring God glory!
Genesis 1:27 NIV
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them male and female he created them.
Psalms 139: 13-17 NLT
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!
Romans 8:28 NLT
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
2) SIN = Causes separation from the Father.
We were ALL born into sinful nature. It is our nature to function, act and speak in ways that protect our pride, that deceive others for our own benefits, that harm those who have hurt us, that feed our sexual desires (outside of marriage), and in all other ways that attempt to achieve our selfish desires. The reality is that our sins and iniquities lead us down a path of death (spiritual death = permanent separation from the Father). In our sinful state, God does not hear us, nor relate to us in the way that he desires. While we are on this Earth, God wants us to walk in close relationship with him, as his sons & daughters. He gave us free will. The decision is ours: DEATH (sin) or LIFE (salvation).
Read the third point to understand more about the option God has given us, and then keep reading to find out how you can choose LIFE today.
Romans 3:23 NKJV
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
Isaiah 59:1-3 NKJV
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save;
Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.
But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.
For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with iniquity;
Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity.Romans 6: 20-23 ESV
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
3) JESUS CHRIST = Your opportunity for LIFE
God, in his loving nature, decided to send his only Son to Earth to free us from the power of sin. So, Jesus Christ came to earth and gave us the perfect example of how we should be living. Then, he became our sin, our iniquities, our transgressions, and endured the punishment that we deserved. Thus, giving us the opportunity to be reconciled to our Heavenly Father, giving us the power to live free of sin, and giving us the promise of an eternal residence in God’s presence.
John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
Ephesians 2:1-10 NLT
Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Romans 8:1-6 KJV
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
So, how can I receive this SALVATION?

Romans 10:9-13 NIV: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
1 John 1:9 ESV: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Father God,
I want to thank you for helping me to clearly see your love for me. I recognize that your love for me and the grace that you’ve extended to me are still beyond my understanding. How could you love me as much as you do? I know that I don’t deserve it! I am sinful, I am inconsistent and I am broken. I have learned that you love me enough to forgive me. For you have already sent your Son, Jesus Christ, to be my sin and endure the punishment of my sin. So today, I ask you for forgiveness and I accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I believe that he lived, he died and he rose to free me from the power of sin and the eternal death that I deserve. Today, I choose you. God, I don’t want to live another day without your guidance. I do want my life to bring you glory. I want to walk in purpose, fulfilling your plans for my life and experiencing your love, your peace, and your joy.
In Jesus Name, I pray, AMEN.
