the switch up.

In this moment, I am pivoting, shifting. rebranding.

I have to decided to pivot, while remaining, staying rooted, in the vision of The Example Generation, but shifting my direction to black. blessed. becoming, a personal blog. same foundation. new brand. just a little switch up.

So, before I get back into publishing blog posts, I want to explain why I’ve decided to PIVOT.

Pivot.

noun: a point on which something rests and turns upon.

verb: to keep one foot in place while moving the other foot one step in any direction; to modify while retaining some continuity with its previous version.

When God gives me vision, I have no doubt that clear direction will follow. Even when it seems impossible or silly, I know that he has placed that desire in my heart for a kingdom purpose. That has always been my relationship with my Father. So, it is my goal, with every platform, every position of influence that God assigns me…to just be obedient. However, ever since I launched The Example Generation, I’ve been inconsistent in my stewardship over the vision that he gave me. This year, God has really shown me that my consistency and my obedience are crucial for fulfilling my God-given assignments.

There is no time to waste. now is the time.

I’ve heard God clearly and HE told me to WRITE.

The vision for black. blessed. becoming, will continue to unfold. In the meantime, here is a quick blurb about what is to come:

This blog is now called “black. blessed. becoming”, because that is who I am.

If I can be honest, there were a lot of internal battles and many tricks from the enemy that were halting my progress and consistency with The Example Generation. So, this shift in branding is representative of the shift in my perspective to what God has called me to do with this platform. It’s no longer about striving for perfection, but about the pursuit of the perfect purpose assigned to me by a perfect God.

So, my prayer is that this platform will encourage believers to be an example of what it means to live for God, to surrender to his will, to love our neighbor and to thirst for growth in all areas. God told me to write…and I’m just trying to be obedient. I hope that through my transparency and obedience, you will hear God.”*

*through the words of my testimony. through the processing of my lessons. through shared prayers. through poetry. through bold words. through my obedience.

When I write, I hear God.

So, as you read, I pray that he speaks to you too.
