Welcome to my blog.
Previously, “The Example Generation”, a platform built on the instructions found in 1 Timothy 4. That foundation hasn’t been torn down.
This blog is now called “black. blessed. becoming”, because that is who I am.
If I can be honest, there were a lot of internal battles and many tricks from the enemy that were halting my progress and consistency with The Example Generation. So, this shift in branding is representative of the shift in my perspective to what God has called me to do with this platform. It’s no longer about striving for perfection, but about the pursuit of the perfect purpose assigned to me by a perfect God.
In 1 Timothy 4:12, Christians are called to live in a way that will serve as an example to other believers. No matter who we were before Christ, we are still called to be an example in the way we live, the way we love, in our faith and in our purity. In the next verse, 1 Timothy 4:13, Paul instructs Timothy to read scriptures to the church, to encourage the believers, and to teach them. We also know that in Matthew 5:16, Jesus commands us: “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven”.
So, my prayer is this platform will encourage believers to be an example of what it means to live for God, to surrender to his will, to love our neighbor and to thirst for growth in all areas. God told me to write…and I’m just trying to be obedient. I hope that through my transparency and obedience, you will hear God.
Remember, Jesus chose a human experience, fought temptation, and gave his life to free you from your sins, and to give the ability to have a direct relationship with God. In my opinion, the least we can do is operate in that freedom, surrender our life to him and build up the kingdom of God.
